The menu bar in OS X has some customization options, plus an easy fix when the menu bar hangs and prevents the clock or other menus from being accessible. Install Instructions 1. Before connecting Evoluent VerticalMouse, go to the Applications folder to find and remove any existing Evoluent Mouse Manager and any other mouse software, except touchpad drivers, to avoid software conflict.
2. Go to System Preferences, Bluetooth and click Setup New Device or click the plus sign + to add the mouse. Slide the power switch on the bottom of the VerticalMouse to the green position or cycle it off and on to establish a connection.
3. Press the Pointer Speed button on the side of the mouse to light up two to three indicator lights for optimal pointer speed.
4. The mouse has default functions without a driver. Evoluent Mouse Manager for Mac may be installed to program the buttons and adjust the pointer speed.

5. After the driver is installed, button functions may be changed by clicking the E icon in System Preferences to open Evoluent Mouse Manager for Mac. The driver may be removed by going to the Applications folder, Evoluent folder and clicking Uninstall.
6. Replace the AA battery when a red light on the thumb rest blinks, or when the pointer becomes unresponsive.
In a Finder window, press VO-Right Arrow or VO-Left Arrow to move through the window until you hear 'toolbar.' Interact with the toolbar. 
Press VO-Right Arrow until you hear 'view radio group' and then interact with that control. Press VO-Right Arrow key until you hear the view you want to use. You can choose from icon, list, column, or Cover Flow view. In Cover Flow view, the browser is split horizontally into two sections. The top section is a graphical view of each item, such as folder icons or a preview of the first page of a document. The bottom section is a list view of the items.
When you have selected a view, stop interacting with the view radio group and the toolbar, and then press VO-Right Arrow to move through the window until you hear 'sidebar.'
To move down the list of items in the sidebar, press VO-Down Arrow. When you hear the item you want, jump to it in the view browser; you can interact with it.To jump, press VO-J. Ketto mac os. If you're using VoiceOver gestures, keep a finger on the trackpad and press the Control key.
